Time Flies Again for the third time.

Life just goes to fast. Last week after many weeks, I tatted with Carol (Carol's Little Treasures - A Tatting Blog). I worked on a large awareness ribbon. I love doing this pattern in all size threads. I hope that next time I tat, it's not a few weeks. Happy Tatting and Blogging Peeps!!!!

Fandango Bookmark by Jane Eborall

The other day, I started doing this bookmark from Jane Eborall's pattern page. I think it will make a nice bookmark for my mom-in-law. She loves reading Debbie Macomber's Books. I think she will like the colors I have picked out. I am so thankful to Jane for getting back into tatting with her TIAS. It has really motivated me to do another pattern. Also, thanks to Carol for helping to get back into the tatting too.

Well, I can say I'm back in the saddle again, LOL. I have finished Day 4 of the TIAS (Thank you Carol xoxo) and will be posting pics once I get my camera battery charged. Don't you just love it when Christmas comes and it is over, you seem to lose some things. Wish me luck in finding my camera battery charger. Many Blessings to all of you.

It is September and I feel so ashamed that I have not blogged in like, FOREVER. I so want to get back into it. So, I have decided that I am going to devote at least 15 minutes to my tatting every night. I have started on a Pumpkin by my favorite tatting artist, Mark Myers. I'll post a little piece of it soon. Thanks Mark. Looking forward to being back here on a regular basis. Have a good day everyone! Oh, one more thing, I have a design idea. I will post the design idea along with the finish product. Vacation 2010

Hi Everyone:
Jeez, it seems that I have not been to blogland to blog about anything since this past January. I better get to the gettin. Anyhow, I will be posting something very soon to my Blog. Keep an eye out for it. I hope I do the designer(s) justice. Oh, one more thing, I finish my physical therapy up tomorrow 2/26. It was needed due to Knee Surgery I had in December 2009. Physical Therapist says my knee can bend to 136 and the highest I will ever be able to go. I guess that is good considering a perfectly healthy knee's highest degree is 140. I think I did a great job in getting to 136. Yay Me!!!!! Have a Great Day and God Bless.

Well Tatting Family, I bought a tatting book off of ebay the other day "Heirloom Treasure in Tatting, Pattern Book" and I hear it was shipped out today. I think I got it for a good deal but time will tell. I can't wait to get it. I'll share with you, as I do the patterns.
I also was looking for Mary Konoir books and found one. Unfortunately, I do not have $70 on me to get it, so I was sad to see it go bye-bye. I would love to be able to do one pattern of hers. I saw a Rose the other day and I just thought it was so pretty.
Oh,then there were the shuttles. I quickly decided it was time to get off that website. I dare not go to etsy shop yet. That maybe fatal. Anyway, just wanted to share. Have a happy evening everyone.

Hi Everyone:
I am so nervous about this design now. I have sent it off to Jane and I hope I did ok.

I feel like I missed something, somewhere and my partner-n-crime Carol could not tat tonight due to a previous engagement. I was able to call her a couple of times with questions and she was a dear to answer them. I could have stayed on the phone with her but I wanted her to get back to her guests. She really is a great teacher and friend. I hope to be able to show Carol tomorrow and find out what she says. Either way, I will tie my ends in and move forward.

Ok, without anymore delay, here is the picture. Don't laugh too hard, just kidding. Maybe any of you can tell me where I made the mistake or tell me I'm just being to HARD ON MYSELF.

Wanted to share a ring I tatted. I have done this before. It is from designer Marilee Rockley called "Remembrance". I just LOVE her design and it is done so FAST. This ring was made for my daughter's friend, Emily. Emily picked the color Blue because it is her favorite color and I added a clear rose button to it. Sorry for the date on the pic, it should read 1/21/2010. Apparently it had a hiccup. Thanks for looking at my Blog and Happy Tatting!

My Job Profession

I have been a secretary since I was 15 yrs. old. Since 1995, I have worked for an attorney. He does estates, taxes and general legal. Not always, but most of the time, I (we) get attached to our clients. Today, I learned that a client passed away and I (we) were attached with this particular client. He will be missed by family and friends. We must all move forward no matter how tough it is. Rest in Peace Norm. We'll miss you.

Hi Everyone:
Happy New Year! I hope this finds most or all of you Healthy. My family and I are doing great.

I am recovering from my knee surgery nicely. I did do some tatting. I hope to put up a couple pictures of what I did. It was just a couple of patterns. At least it was something.

My daughter, April is loving her DS and Wii. You see she is a New Year's Eve Baby so December can be quite hectic for me. She got the Wii for Christmas and the DS for her Birthday. She is one LUCKY GIRL! I sure hope she thinks so.

My husband, Harry is playing with his train layout. He took down all the trains, tracks, etc. and laid grass carpet. He is now putting everything back but has added more circles of track (big and small). He will be able to run 9 trains, yikes. I hope he feels like one LUCKY GUY or should I say LUCKY BOY, LOL!

My husband and I return to work on Monday and April returns to School. Hopefully, we can get back into the groove of things. I feel very LUCKY to have Family, Friends,God and my Blog Family too. Anyway, have a great day and again, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Update Knee Surgery #2

I am on the road to recovery. My surgery went well. The dr. took out Arthritis and fixed the torn miniscus. I am walking on it without crutches and a cane. I do take the cane when we go out just for safe measures. I hope ALL OF YOU have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Thank you for all the prayers.

I am scheduled for knee surgery on Dec. 22. It is for a torn miniscus(not sure of spelling). I should be up in a day or two after it. They are doing it by scope. Have a great day!

I am going on my third or fourth week of physical therapy and so far am having pain, needles etc. I see the dr. on 2/22/10 but I really don't think I can hold out that long. I will see what the PT says tomorrow. To: Carol, I know I was not there at the bus stop this am but will be there this pm, so I'm sure you will see this, LOL.

A Ring I Tatted twice - The design is by Marilee Rockley

Hi Everyone:
Here is two tatted rings for the finger. It is from designer Marilee Rockley called "Remembrance". In the first picture, I did with the couple of goodies I received in the mail from Heather "The tarnished tatter" (teenie weenie shuttles) AND Isdihara "Ambitatterous"(colors are Lily Boil Proof #26 & DMC #776). In the second picture, I did it with Colors 99 Majesty Mercerized Boil Proof 30 & DMC 992 20 Cebelia. I added an accent button with gold stars on it. I think I will wear this to my upcoming Christmas Parties I MUST go to.

Hi Heather - I love using the shuttles. They are so fun to work with. At first it was tough without a picker but then it was like second nature.

Hi Isdihara - I love using that size thread. It is one of my favorites.

First Time Ever to receive Tatting Goodies in the Mail

Here is a couple of goodies I received in the mail this past week. The one goody came from Heather "The tarnished tatter". The other goody came from Isdihara "Ambitatterous".

The left one is "Flower with One Picot in the Center" by Rozella F. Linden.

The middle one is from the book "Minitats" by Patti Duff on page 37.

The right one is a Tree Frame. The pattern is by Roger aka Freedman. It has a picture of my daughter in it.

It inspired me to put the Choker Necklace up on here. It is for my daughter, April to wear for Halloween. Unfortunately, it was not finished with a clasp on the back of it. She is holding it for that reason. The pattern comes out of the book called "Tatting Patterns for One Shuttle - Book 1" by Mark Myers. You can find it on page 17, edging #5. Possible Knee Surgery

Hi tatting family. For those of you who know, I have been tatting since 2006 with my friend aka teacher, Carol aka http://caroltats.blogspot.com. She is one of my dearest, closest friends. A couple of months ago, my left knee started bothering me and I finally went on Nov. 6 to get the MRI done. So far the Dr. is saying a torn miniscus (not sure if it is spelled that way or not). If that is the case then I will be having the scope surgery done, at least that is what I hope for. I will know more on Nov. 18th on what they want to do next. Please keep me in your prayers. It will be greatly appreciated. I'm sure in my downtime, I will be tatting. I will post more when I can.

Meeting a fellow tatter

On October 4, 2009, I met a fellow tatter through my friend Carol and her mom Peg at a Car Cruise. Her name is Kathy and I immediately found her very interesting to talk with. She brought some tatting patterns with her to show me and I in turn showed her a couple of mine. We both tatted while our husband's had their cars in the show. The time flew by so quickly, I hated to see it end.
